Rising Scholars
What is Rising Scholars?
The Rising Scholars Program is dedicated to offering holistic, student-centered support for formerly incarcerated and system-impacted students. We empower students to take agency over their personal and professional journeys, providing them with sustainable and equitable access to higher education.
Eligibility
- Enrolled in units at Fullerton College (min. 3 units)
- Identify as a student who has been affected by the carceral system:
- Individuals formerly incarcerated as a juvenile or as an adult.
- Individuals who is currently on or have been on parole or adult felony probation. (AB109)
- Indirect involvement with the criminal justice system by way of an immediate family member.
